5-Minute Grounding Practice for Burnout Relief
Come back to yourself, gently.
Find a quiet space. Sit or lie down somewhere you feel safe. Close your eyes if comfortable.
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Breathe in through your nose for 4 counts, feeling your belly rise. Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts, letting your shoulders soften. Repeat for 5 breaths.
Say (out loud or silently): “It’s safe to let go. I do not have to carry it all. I give myself permission to rest.”
Tune in. Ask your body: “What do you need right now? ”Whatever arises - rest, water, movement, stillness - honor it with one small action.
Close with gratitude. Gently say: “Thank you, body. Thank you, breath. I am coming home to myself.”
